Most projects start with some resources, a budget and a schedule, so how do you put all of these and other pieces together to get your project off to a great start?
The objectives of this session are
1. Understand the “big picture” or “Mission” of your project.
2. Develop an integrated project plan.
3. Create a systems based integration plan
4. Explore a project case study.
5. Learn to improve your vision (or perspective) as a project manager and get your project going in the most effective direction.
This material will include and supplement the PMBOK knowledge areas of Project Integration Management, Project Human Resources Management and Project Communications Management.

Mr. Witbeck is a Supervising Engineer with Parsons Brinckerhoff, currently working on the Phoenix light rail project. His experience includes Public Safety, Electrical Utilities, Public Transit, Department of Energy and Department of Defense sectors with more 20 years of experience in communications, system integration and Project Management.
Previously Mr. Witbeck was with RCC Consultants, responsible for providing clients with communications consulting and engineering services. Complete system planning includes needs assessment, interoperability analysis, traffic monitoring and analysis, radio propagation analysis, system design, specification preparation, bid evaluation, FCC licensing, construction/installation monitoring, and acceptance testing. Mr. Witbeck is a certified Project Management Professional and holds a bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Mr. Witbeck has given previous presentations on Integration Management for PMI and at regional and national public safety conferences, including moderating a panel discussion at the International APCO conference in Montreal, Canada.
