President
Sash Dhar, PMP

Sash stands for building a strong project management community in the Valley by bringing together visionary leaders and in making project management indispensable for delivering sustainable business results. His vision is to move PMI-Phoenix into the top three model chapters among 250 world wide chapters and also transform Phoenix Metro as the Silicon Valley of Project Management. He is the president of Innovera Group, a strategic management consulting company. He is passionate about cross cultural leadership, building world class teams and delivering extraordinary results. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University. Sash is a PMP and has an Executive MBA from Thunderbird, School of Global Management.


VP of Finance
Forrest Smith, PMP

Forrest Smith is the founder of FM Smith & Associates, a business process efficiency consulting group, and has over 20 years of executive customer service leadership experience.  Forrest’s latest industry role was that of Western Division Service Director, Document Messaging Technologies, Pitney Bowes, Inc. which was headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. In this position he managed and directed the overall activities of six districts covering the 18 western United States, Texas to Hawaii. 

Outside of work Forrest is a member of the American Management Association and the Project Management Institute.  He has been actively involved in community affairs to include Junior Achievement and Helping Hand (food delivery to shut-ins). 

 

Forrest holds an MBA, Six Sigma Greenbelt, PMP®, a Master Project Manager™, and Certified International Project Manager™ certifications.  He studied at Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, University of California, Irvine, Arizona State University, University of Phoenix, and eight other colleges and universities. 

 

Forrest and his wife, Gloria, run seven miles daily, participate in full marathons and are avid hikers.

 


VP of Operations
Annette Romei, PMP

Annette Romei, PMP is a Program Management Operating System Leader at Honeywell International in Customer and Product Support. She has over 10 years experience in managing technology-based projects, having started managing research programs for the U.S. Air Force & NASA as an engineering undergraduate student. Annette has managed earned-value projects throughout their entire life cycle phases, including software releases while working at Microsoft Corporation and aerospace programs at Honeywell International and The Boeing Company. Her experience includes project management processes, tools, techniques, and best practices including earned value management, statement of work (SOW), work breakdown structure (WBS), & project plan development, and risk management. Annette holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University. She is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP.)

VP of Professional Development
Alika Victor, PMP

Alika Victor, PMP is a Consulting Manager at Acquity Group.  She has over 15 years experience in managing projects, having started managing research programs for the University of Michigan Business School.  Regarding Professional Development programs, Alika has created project management training programs and trained respective personnel.  Her experience includes full lifecycle project management processes, tools and techniques, and best practices including communication management, risk management, earned value management, statement of work (SOW), work breakdown structure (WBS), and project plan development.  Working for global companies Alika has a published a paper through PMI “Managing Successful Projects in a Virtual Environment”.  Alika holds a Bachelor of Science in Land Use Analysis from Eastern Michigan University.  She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Green Belt, Prince 2 and Software Instructor.


VP of Project Management Office
Hal Korff, PMP

Hal is Senior Director of Project Management Operations at iCrossing where he is managing merger projects and best practices for eight offices in the United States and Europe. During his 25-year career he has held technical and management positions in IT, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Marketing. When not working, Hal volunteers his time as a coach and mentor to those wanting to advance their careers in project management and as a facilitator for such non-profit organizations as Neighborhood Housing Services and the Greater Coronado Home Owners Association. Hal became PMP certified in May of 2000 and since that time has been very active in the chapter as a volunteer and Chair of Professional Development and as Treasurer. Hal has a Bachelor’s Degree from Ottawa University.

VP of External Relations
Doug Orlando, MBA, PMP, ITIL Foundations

Doug is currently Senior Global Technical Director at AT&T Global Business Service Delivery and Program Management and was recently chosen to launch one of their largest $1 billion solutions custom outsourcing contracts in Detroit.  Doug is a results-driven program management expert in the design, development and delivery of cost-effective, high-performance technology solutions. He is a client oriented, accomplished leader capable of building motivated and productive teams. He has implemented several PMO’s and managed projects of all sizes, specializing in complex programs. Doug has worked in the Information Systems sector for 20+ years.   He has been a Certified PMP since 2001, and acquired his ITIL Foundations certification in 2007 in Service Support, Service Delivery.  Prior to AT&T, he has worked for IBM Global Services for 19 years. He has extensive qualifications in all facets of project life-cycle development. Doug relocated from Chicago to Phoenix in 2004.  As a hobby, he is a songwriter and producer and currently plays keyboards and piano in several bands and church.  He is married with two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications and an Executive MBA with concentration in Strategic Management /Finance/ IT Operations from Northern Illinois University.


VP of Communications
Srinivas Jasti, PMP

Srini is an experienced professional in Supply Chain management & technology delivery. He has worked as an executive and management consultant with firms such as Elsevier, i2 Technologies, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and IBM in the area of Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Customer Support and Master Data Management. He has consulted for companies in a variety of industries, including High-Tech, CPG/Retail, Electronics, Distribution and Telecommunications. Srini holds MS degree in Information Technology from Stevens Tech and is PMP certified. Srini is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at a Fortune 200 company, where he manages several projects in the Supply Chain & MDM areas.


VP of Membership
Pamela Smith

Pamela brings 17 years of leadership experience in business administration, operations management, operations planning, process improvement, and workforce planning. Her project management experience primarily encompasses IT infrastructure and process implementation. Her entrepreneurial drive led her to the creation of a technology consulting company where she served as President/CEO for 10 years.

 

Pamela has a reputation for being a “big picture” strategist, with innovative ideas for creating, implementing and sustaining corporate growth throughout every sector of the organization. Her focus is to grow, strengthen and evolve business, while mastering change.

 

Pamela has served in many leadership and board of director member roles including NAWBO, NATS, MTSA, AFPHX, March of Dimes, and small start-up companies.

Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree.

 

In her free time, Pamela enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, culinary arts, foreign language, and travel


VP of Programs
Tom Kula, PMP

 

Tom is a Program Manager for Alcatel-Lucent, a telecommunication company.  Prior to this position, he worked as Lead Software Engineer at Bell Laboratories in New Jersey (13 years).  As an engineer, Tom co-created a telephone network recovery algorithm that is still widely used today.  He also received a Bell Labs Special Recognition Award for creating an automation tool.  In 1998, he became a Program Manager in Phoenix where he oversees the installation and engineering of Cellular Sites.  In addition to that role, Tom is an officer of his company's PMP Certification and Training Program and serves as both a PMP-Prep Instructor and co-editor of a PM newsletter.  Tom is also a member of the ASU academic advisory board for the School of Engineering. Tom holds an MS in Computer Science and an MBA in Project Management, and is PMP Certified.  For leisure, Tom enjoys competitive Table Tennis.  He believes that through empowerment and a steadfast belief in the capabilities of others, great things can be accomplished.
