President
Pamela Smith, BS
Pamela brings 17 years of leadership experience in business administration, operations management, operations planning, process improvement, and workforce planning. Her project management experience primarily encompasses IT infrastructure and process implementation. Her entrepreneurial drive led her to the creation of a technology consulting company where she served as President/CEO for 10 years.
Pamela has a reputation for being a “big picture” strategist, with innovative ideas for creating, implementing and sustaining corporate growth throughout every sector of the organization. Her focus is to grow, strengthen and evolve business, while mastering change. Pamela has served in many leadership and board of director member roles including NAWBO, NATS, MTSA, AFPHX, March of Dimes, and small start-up companies. Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree. In her free time, Pamela enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, culinary arts, foreign language, and travel.

VP of Operations/President Elect
Elizabeth Chappel, PMP
Elizabeth (Beth) Chappel has over 25 years experience developing and leading processes or efforts for innovation or improvement. Beth first became responsible for her own projects and execution to them over 25 years ago when she delivered her first labor-loaded schedule. She has worked for the Garrett Turbine Engine Company (Honeywell), Goodrich Aerospace Company (Universal Propulsion Company) and presently works for General Dynamics. Beth also taught Mathematics for two years in the Deer Valley Unified School District in middle school and high school, where she followed the National Council for Teacher’s of Mathematics Standards in developing lesson plans to add to her curriculum.
Beth’s project management experience primarily encompasses Telecommunication Planning and Aerospace products. Beth has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, minor Biomechanics, and a Post-Baccalaureate in Secondary Education, Mathematics. She attained her original PMP credential in November 2006.
Beth and her husband John have four dogs, four cats, and a tortoise. They like to escape the valley and head to their cabin in Happy Jack at least once a month or more often-in Summer. Beth likes to ski and sail and the Chappels’ have two sailboats. Both of their children live in ski country.

VP of Communications
Greg Stoner, BS, PMP
Greg is currently a business analyst with the City of Tempe Municipal Courts. Prior to that he held positions at GoDaddy and with Avnet where his roles ranged from managing software development teams to running formal change management programs. Greg has experience with CRM design and implementation, change management, sales operations, business intelligence, process analysis and design, and technology infrastructure design and management. Greg has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. In that time he has participated in the delivery and support of technology services within a Fortune 500 corporation, government, and startups.
Greg's passion for utilizing technology to economically improve processes and to simplify user interaction with back-office system has provided experience in a number of information technology disciplines. Greg has developed user support teams, managed development teams, and created a change management team. He has led the implementation of customer relationship management systems, collaborated on the design of customer portals, and has implemented product configuration tools, quotation systems, server virtualization, and other technologies all with the common goal of process improvement. His other interests are kayaking, cycling, photography, music, and cooking.

VP of Finance
Jeff Peck, MBA, PMP
Jeff Peck has been in Project Management for over 20 years working with small to large firms helping improve their overall IT ERP efficiencies, directing CRM operational flows and assisting all levels of management to become leaner organizations. Jeff holds an MBA with a focus in Finance, a BS in Accounting, and PMP certification. Most professional efforts over past 8 years have been to direct IT projects that are based on the implementation of financial software in the manufacturing sector.
Jeff also bring experience in healthcare, retail, wholesale, legal and government work. Prior professional roles include serving as Operations Manager in the healthcare industry, Finance Manager in Real Estate industry, and Sales Management.
Outside of work, Jeff has been very active with Habitat for Humanity, has traversed the Grand Canyon, competed in the USTA 4.5 Nationals, has run marathons in Orange County and New York and has competed in cycling events.

Trish Marszalek, PMP
Trish is a Program Manager for American Express Technologies. She has worked in various positions throughout her career including Developer, Technical Lead, Project Director, and IT Instructor. Prior to joining Amex, she worked at some well known Insurance companies in Maine and Florida, and a large retailer in Maine, which is where she was born and raised. Trish moved to Arizona in 2003 and began volunteering for the PMI Phoenix Chapter in 2007. In 2009, she served as Director for the Chapter’s 2nd Symposium. She earned her PMP designation in 2006, holds a BS in Professional Management, an AA in Small Business Management, an AS in Accounting, a CPCU from Insurance Institute of America, and is a certified professional instructor. While in Florida she was a founding member of the PMI South Florida chapter and Chairperson for her company’s annual United Way campaign, increasing contributions by over 1000% in the 3 years she ran that campaign.
Trish lives in the Rio Verde Foothills (unincorporated area in NE Maricopa County) with her husband Ed and their three cats. She is the mother of adult fraternal twins. Trish also serves as Board President for her local Rio Verde Foothills Alliance newsletter and educational non-profit group, and volunteers for Southwest Wildlife, a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation and refuge which is also located near her home in the Rio Verde Foothills area. She believes that great things are accomplished when skilled people put their heads together and pursue results with open minds and a can-do attitude.

VP of Project Management Office
Jo Morrison, PMP, PCPM
Jo Morrison has 29 years in project management within Information Technology; she is currently the Project Management Office (PMO) manager at Central Arizona Project and she holds the position as the PMI Phoenix Chapter Director of PMO Standards & Best Practices. Her background is eight years in the banking industry, eighteen years at Intel Corporation, and three years in the utility industry. Her experience in project management has afforded her the opportunity to work with teams around the world improving project management processes and governance.
She has taught manager excellence to over 80 managers worldwide while working for Intel Corporation. She is completing her master's degree in Information Technology project management (graduating mid 2010), she is PMP certified, and has an advanced Professional Certification in Project Management (PCPM) through the University of Phoenix. She is sought after for her expertise in starting PMO's and is collaborating on a couple project management books to be published in 2010.

Rebecca Knight
Rebecca holds a Masters of Management Degree from University of Phoenix.. Rebecca started her career in Corporate Training and Development. These roles prepared her to develop key team building, group process and facilitation skills which have been invaluable in the Project Management realm. Rebecca has worked in the process and project management field for over 10 years in Project Manager/Business Process Analyst roles for software companies in Washington and Arizona. Rebecca is actively preparing for the PMP Certification exam
Rebecca is experienced in developing systems, procedures and teams, advancing teams and companies to the next level. Rebecca operates Blue Sky Consulting, part-time, providing Project Management consulting and training. Focus on small businesses creating efficiencies by improving process and implementing systems empowering their scalability and opportunity for growth. Rebecca is dedicated to the advocacy of life-long learning through community involvement. She is passionate about continual development, training and leadership. In addition to PMI External Relations, her outreach consists of Elder Care Awareness and Motorcycle Safety groups.
