Overview

 

Study Groups for PMP/CAPM Exam Prep plays a vital role to an individual who chooses self-study to prepare for the PMP/CAPM Exam.

 

The facilitator of a study group will acts as a leader and coordinator of group activities, but is not an instructor. This person takes the responsibility for submitting paperwork for study group approval, recording attendance, coordinating study group meeting logs and scheduling and communicating with the group members. In addition the facilitator should take an active role in the study group in the following ways:

1.   Promote a positive reflective atmosphere in the group.

2.   Encourage participation by all in group discussions.

3.   Encourage all members to keep notes of group perceptions and realizations.

4.   Restate positions and observations of group members as needed.

5.   Promote follow-up activities as appropriate.

6.   Provide group leadership as needed without dominating group processes

Requirements

Candidates Should Have:

Conducts proposal preparation; negotiate, co -ordinates customer fact-finding, contract administration and closeout activities related to assigned contracts

 

Performs contract administration with Workshop Training Providers

 

Reviews documents on assigned contracts for acceptability, including terms and conditions, scope of work and other requirements.

The Master Calendar Manager is the person responsible for managing the Professional Development Master Calendar of workshop opportunities. ·         Assesses workshop content and ensures opportunities are spread out across the month when selecting final workshop date

·         Communicates final date to Vendor (copies Vendor Relationship Manager, and Contract Administrator)

·         Updates Professional Development Master Calendar with final date and removes other two preference dates

·         Performs miscellaneous duties as required

The Location Manager is responsible for workshop facility management.   The Location Manager reports to the Director of Workshop Management.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Collaborates with the Professional Development Vendor Relationship Manager or, if required, the vendor (course provider) to identify the needs for workshop space.

 

Completes Reservation Request Forms based on Vendor needs.

 

Reserve facility space for PMI Phoenix Chapter workshops to include (if applicable): chairs & tables, internet access, overhead projector, easels, pens & paper, and any “other” items deemed necessary for an effective learning environment.

 

Obtain online maps to facility and distribute as requested to registered learning participants and course provider.

 

Arrange for coffee/tea service access (if needed).

 

Manage logistical issues around locations to ensure an effective classroom environment.

 

Handle special needs requests as required, as well as any desired changes to the location prior to the workshop date(s).

 

Updates and maintains the Facility Reservation Calendar in SharePoint.

 

Updates and ensures all signed rental agreements are submitted and stored to SharePoint. Role may expand to include other location based requests in support of the Professional Development Charter.

The Director oversees Member Services Team, team metrics/reporting/surveys. The PMP Exam Prep Instructor reports to the Director of Chapter Sponsored Education.

 

The PMI Phoenix Chapter offers a 6-week PMP Exam Prep Course to assist Project Managers that meet the eligibility criteria in obtaining the PMP Certification to pass the PMP examination. The course provides attendees with practical, skill enhancing tips and techniques that can be applied to the work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participates on Instructor Team to teach material from PMI Phoenix Chapter curriculum on a rotational basis teaching 1 or 2 classes per 6 week course session.
  • Participates in chapter retention initiatives by providing regular, accurate, and timely feedback to attendees and the chapter concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
  • Maintains expertise in subject area and recommends improvements in curriculum design.
  • Complete sign-in sheets and the trainer feedback form for each workshop
  • Arrive early for workshops, adhere with presentation schedule, and stay afterwards to answer trainee's questions
  • As an instructor, appear professional in dress and manner
  • Share the mission of the chapter

Requirements:

·         Responsible for administration of start-up, movement and termination documentation and systems access including Org charts, master volunteer roster, Sharepoint, Affiniscape and Cvent.

The Surveys Manager will support the Director of Surveys by participating as a survey team for the Chapter to identify questions, coordinate surveys, evaluate responses and presenting results to various Chapter teams at various milestones. 

 

This includes, but is not limited to the following:

·         Determining the Nominating process for 2010

·         Reviewing of By-laws and updating any By-laws/ communicating changes to PMI GOC and reviewing with Chapter Governance (operations)

·         Overseeing Elections

·         Energizing the Membership to run!!!!

Overview:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Each Statistics Manager may ultimately be assigned to a chapter subteam or subteams to support.  Metrics will be generated based upon agreement based upon the Strategic Operating Plan and the SAPR.

  • Development and analysis of performance and operational metrics for PMI Phoenix Chapter as a whole as well as PMI Phoenix Chapter Teams.
  • Development of risk/reward models to quantify operational risks and opportunities
  • Identification of key drivers of overall trends and their component contributions
  • Evaluation of performance and operational data to support growth and profitability of chapter
  • Evaluation of survey data, National PMI monthly published data, etc.
  • Consult with internal business partners to develop metrics and analytics to measure operational business performance
  • Make suggestions to improve or optimize processes based on data analysis
  • Responsible for updated web contents for “Statistics” page on PMI Phoenix Chapter website

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, PMI Phoenix Chapter policies and procedures
  • Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams
  • Ensures contract review, approval and execution in accordance with PMI Phoenix Chapter guidelines
  • Prepares and administers correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance
  • May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends
  • Performs contract closeout activities
  • Holds monthly status teleconference meeting with team
