Job Description


The PMI Phoenix Chapter Marketing Team is responsible for supporting Chapter’s vision and strategic goals through a variety of communication channels, including Chapter Website, eNewsletter / Weekly Bulletin, Photography, and Social Media outlets. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

The ideal candidate will have a background or knowledge of Content and/or Marketing with the ability to quickly write effective copy that informs, engages and motivates the reader.  As a Marketing Content manager, you will support the content development for electronic weekly and quarterly newsletters, website content, and any additional Marketing initiatives. The role will report to Marketing, but will collaborate with other teams to develop and validate content.

      Position Requirements:

  • Project management experience. 

  • Demonstrated creativity in writing for multiple digital and print vehicles, and adapting content to suit the strengths of each platform.

  • Craft authentic copy that tells our brand story with personality and purpose.

  • Strong grammar and proofreading skills with scrupulous attention to accuracy.

  • Contribute articles to bi-monthly company newsletter.

  • Knowledge of and interest in business strategy and objectives, with the ability to put that into meaningful and actionable for audiences.

  • Ensure compliance with PMI brand standards and style guide.

  • Experience with content management and measurement tools, such as Google Analytics, or other website metrics is a plus.

  • Obtain final approval from Marketing Team leadership & Chapter board as pertinent to each prior to publishing.

  • Train new Marketing Team members on copywriting duties and be available as a SME (Subject Matter Expert).

  • Attend Team meetings and Sub­Team meetings, as scheduled. Created and maintain process documentation.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, and trends; share insights with internal teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to work independently and support on a team

  • Knowledge in English, Journalism, or Marketing, with 2 + years of experience.

  • Experience in HTML and eNewsletter publishing, website copy, Joomla and SEO a plus.

  • Enthusiasm for the mission of the PMI Phoenix Chapter.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail

  • Please Note: All Volunteers must be Current local chapter members in “good standing” as defined by chapter by-laws.




 PDUs earned as per CCR guidelines. (PMI CCRS)

Time Commitment

2-4 hours per week
