One of the most accomplished leaders from Project Management Institute will be our guest and presenter for the March 14th dinner meeting at Orangetree. James Snyder, one of the founding fathers of PMI, will present the History of PMI and the Phoenix Chapter. I hope to see you all at this meeting. But in case you cannot attend the meeting, James will be holding a meet and greet breakfast the morning of March 14th at the Orangetree. Please see the website for times and registration.
We follow up James Snyder with another James in May, Dr. James Brown. He was with us last year, and is returning with two new classes this May, and of course a dinner meeting. This is another opportunity you will not want to miss. For those that attended either the classes or dinner meeting last year, please pass the word to your colleagues on how much you learned from Dr. Brown.
Between James Snyder and James Brown, we will be holding another Social Networking event in April. Place and date are yet to be determined, but these events are always fun to attend, and a great place to meet new people and possible opportunities.
Our training for 2018 is in full swing, and just a reminder that the final PMBOK version 5 tests will be given this month. Starting in April, the tests will be given on PMBOK version 6, not 5, so for those of you looking at certifications this year be sure to utilize the correct training materials. Our website, www.phx-pmi.org, will have more information on the current classes available from the chapter.
And a reminder for March, we have started a new Breakfast meeting in the West valley at Luke Air Force Base, holding the meeting at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. These breakfast meetings will be held the first Monday of every month so if you are in the West valley, come and attend. Again, please register and find more information on the website.
I do want to take a minute and thank all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication, they help make the chapter what it is today, and what it will become tomorrow. We have a great team of volunteers within our chapter at all levels, and I look forward to working with every one of them to make the Phoenix Chapter the best in the world.
