February 2019 - News from the President

Cory Smith

Dear Members,

Did I tell you how important you are as Chapter members, volunteers, and partners in our Chapter, a volunteer non-profit organization?  If not let me say it and/or repeat it. I am grateful that you are choosing to participate professionally since our mission is to serve you well.

As a volunteer-run organization, our efforts are to strengthen us and make us better. Come join us, even if you can only spare an hour virtually a week.

As the chapter continues to refresh our aging technology infrastructure, I want to take a moment and apologize for any lapse in quality. The team is hard at work, dialing in the integrated components to improve your experience and the platform foundation to offer new events, improve online features and to go mobile.

The valley and state are growing.  Did you know that the chapter service area is the entire state except for Tucson, which is served by the Tucson Chapter?  In an effort to serve our dispersed geographic members, we are analyzing where you live and work.  Our goal is to offer gatherings, closer to you to be inclusive of our community.

What’s Happening?

Since Cupid is alive and well this month, join us for the bi-monthly networking event on the 28th.  It is your opportunity to build a relationship, collaborate or connect for your next opportunity in a relaxed, fun setting.

Need to prepare for an exam or refresh your knowledge, the PMP/CAPM study groups are in progress.

If you need a PDU for certification renewal? There are breakfast meetings and they are a great place to connect and relationship building.

If you do not see the event you were looking for, ask us. Continue to submit surveys, they are actioned and appreciated. It is your voice and your chapter.
