Storytelling with Data by Vicky Parrulli
As Vice President of Risk Management at JP Morgan Chase, our speaker, Vicky Parrulli, is frequently called upon to prepare and present analytic results to Senior Executives, General Counsel, and Federal Regulators. Knowing that such data can be dry, complex, and confusing -especially to outsiders, she sought ways to ensure that the data visualization she prepared was clear, concise, and easily understood.
She was also tired of viewing PowerPoint presentations cluttered with multi-colored charts and graphs and dozens of bullet points that colleagues often read aloud to their audiences. She was determined that she would not be one of those presenters, so she researched Storytelling with Data and found many terrific tips and techniques in a book by the same name. During her presentation, she is going to share some of those ideas and then point us in the direction to discover even more on our own.
