PMI Tucson Presents
Transforming Project Manager to Leader
In spite of the significant technical advancements in the Project Management Profession, research studies still show an increase in project failures, emphasizing the importance of the Project Manager’s role as a “Leader”. Although there are extensive course offerings for Project Management training, the global offering of real-world and effective leadership development for Project Managers has been slow to emerge.
Years of experience has shown that the goal of gaining forward-thinking leadership skills and making the psychological changes vital to becoming an effective “Leader” is in the reach of most Project Managers.
This practical and life-changing journey is indeed a transformation of how a Project Manager thinks about and executes leadership responsibilities. If properly constructed, the journey can be fun, insightful and inspiring. Possessing the ability to “think like and generate the results of a Leader” is a highly valued professional asset and can positively change the trajectory of any manager’s career.
