Job Description

Overview: 

We are looking for Corporate Ambassadors to work closely with the Director of Corporate Outreach in support our exciting outreach activities! This position reports to the Director of Corporate Outreach and is a chapter sub-team of External Relations. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Looking to volunteer with a fun group and reach out to the local Phoenix community?  We need you!  We are looking for a Corporate Outreach Ambassador External Relations to work closely with the Director of Corporate outreach.  The Corporate Outreach Ambassador will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and providing support to the outreach team Director for the following:

  • Form alliances with local corporations to provide feedback (for example, via roundtable discussion meetings or by forming an Executive Advisory Board) to the chapter regarding potential value add programs
  • Enhance executive-level awareness for the Chapter and its members
  • Enhance sustained sponsorship for PMI Phoenix events and its programs
  • Establish Chapter members within their organization as Corporate Outreach Ambassadors for the chapter and support the needs of their fellow chapter members.
  • Corporations to PMI Phoenix Executive Advisory Council meetings
  • Give presentations to corporations wanting to learn more about Project Management (typically done during the lunch hour)
  • Give presentations to or co-host events with other local professional organizations wanting to learn more about Project Management
  • Initiate Local Interest Groups (LIGs) that meet to discuss industry-specific topics (for example, construction, IT, or Women in Project Management)
  • Responsible for resourcing and managing team

The position will also incorporate Administrative, Project Management, and Process Improvement tasks

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a strong desire to help grow and maintain a fast-paced, enthusiastic team
  • Leading teams and managing staff experience essential
  • Strong presentation experience
  • Strong Relationship Management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work virtually
  • Enthusiasm for the mission of the PMI Phoenix Chapter
  • Please Note: All Volunteers must be current chapter members in “good standing” as defined by chapter by-laws.

 

 

Deliverables

Monthly status report, monthly production meeting

 PDUs

PDUs earned as per CCR guidelines. (PMI CCRS)

Time Commitment

4-5 hours per week
