Job Description

Overview

The Membership Team is responsible for providing the strategy to define and deliver value and consistent high-quality membership experience for all chapter members. The Membership Services Team is responsible for attracting, engaging, and retaining new and renewing chapter members. They provide support and outreach for our members through the Ambassador Program and career support through the Career Resources Program. 

 

The Volunteer Services Team provides is responsible recruiting and placing qualified volunteers on all teams, conducting volunteer orientation, defining and executing growth and development strategies as well as manage the Volunteer and Member Recognition Program.

 

The Manager of Volunteer Services also helps the team plan, develop, and implement volunteer recruitment and staffing strategies to support the PMI Phoenix Chapter business operations objectives, while the same time foster the spirit of the Chapter culture by assisting members to attain their personal volunteering goals. The team of Managers of Volunteer Services report to the Director of Volunteers Services.


Duties include:

  • Provide a high level of customer service in consulting with and guiding leaders with volunteer opportunities, policies, and processes.
  • Provide a high level of customer service in communication with volunteer opportunity applicants.
  • Work leaders and volunteers to ensure compliance with chapter on-boarding policy.
  • Collaborate with other Volunteer Services and Membership team members to help create “best of” practices and programs to ensure volunteer corps and chapter growth.
  • Assist with development of new volunteer training, leadership development, and succession programs.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service
  • People operations experience (hiring, interviewing, management, recruiting, customer service)
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Please Note: All Volunteers must be current chapter members in “good standing” as defined by chapter by-laws.

 PDUs

PDUs earned as per CCR guidelines. (PMI CCRS)

Time Commitment

4-5 hours per week
