Job Description

Overview:

The PMI Phoenix Chapter Communications Team supports the external communications to our
Chapter members based on internal requests from our internal Teams and Volunteers. The Communications Team also supports the internal Teams and Volunteers technical tools (e.g. Website, SharePoint, Social Media, Newsletter and Bulletin).

The Webmaster reports to the AVP of Technology who reports to the VP-Communications who works directly for the President.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Webmaster will be responsible for maintaining the Chapter’s website (http://phx-pmi.org) ensuring the continual correctness, completeness and timeliness of information of the site. The Webmaster will champion the effective use of the chapter website to enhance communications between the Internal Teams and Volunteers and its external users/visitors.

This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Creates, gains approval for and maintains guidelines for the look and feel of the chapter website.
  • Works closely with other internal Teams and Volunteers that interactive web applications and web-based processes work correctly.
  • Fields, responds to and troubleshoots requests sent through appropriate channels relating to chapter website. The requests can come from internal as well as external website users.
  • Works with web representatives (e.g. Proteon) to collaborate on requests from internal and external website users.
  • Continually attends/completes training offered through website vendor (e.g. Proteon) in an effort to maintain the most up to date knowledge of website and administrative tools needed to maintain chapter website
  • Monitor webpages and links within website to maintain accuracy and proper accessibility to external sites.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with website member security and login issues.
  • Maintains and reports on web usage and access statistics as needed.
  • Trains Internal Website Master on updated applications/processes as communicated by Internal Teams and external vendor (e.g. Proteon).
  • Other duties as assigned.

      

Requirements:

  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML and web-based technology
  • MS PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, communicate and set expectations for stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm for the mission of the PMI Phoenix Chapter

Deliverables

 Website Administration, Web Usage Reports, Monthly Status Report

 

PDUs

 

Up to 45 PDUs in a 3-year cycle (PMP, PgMP);

Maximum of 20 PDUs in a 3-year cycle (PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, PMI-Agile)

(after 3 months service – 1 PDU per volunteer hour provided. Use Category E – Giving Back to the Profession)

Time Commitment

 3-4 hours per week
