PMI Phoenix Chapter proudly presents our March Chapter Meetings
What Happened to my Strategy?
And how can Project Portfolio Management help?
What is the process from forming strategy to realizing corporate goals? What does Project Portfolio Management and its related processes do for us?
Sound strategic planning is fundamental to achieving business objectives. Execution of the strategy is difficult and the complexities created by out of sync and competing activities, processes, functional groups and systems across the organization create many obstacles on the road to success. Constant change, corporate politics, functional silos and many other factors affect progress toward business goals.
This presentation will discuss Portfolio Management and its relationship to Strategic Planning, Resource Management, Project Management and Organizational Change Management. We look at process relationships and information flow across the business from planning to achievement of the strategy, from great ideas to benefits realization. To ensure the business efficiently and effectively achieves its strategy and planned (or promised) savings, the organization must optimize the outcomes from processes across these disciplines.
